Righteous, aka Daryl J Stevenson Jr., relishes in the opportunity that combines his two greatest loves God and music. Since a young age, Righteous had a gift for lyricism and performance but not until 2006 did he realize it was God given.
Since that divine epiphany, Righteous is on a mission spreading the Gospel to comfort and encourage. Knowing that his music can be enjoyed by everyone of all ages, nationalities and ethnicities drives him to create music that is intensely electrifying and transparent.
His musical style could be easily described as 50 Cents meets Trip Lee, but his originality gives him a Holy swag all of his own. His lyrical style is sharp, clever and quick. Always reverencing God in every bar, Righteous gives Him praise with every track.
His music has garnered attention from the Young Gospel Entertainment Awards as a 2010 Best in Hip Hop and Performer nominee.
When he’s not in the studio, Righteous enjoys spending time with his family or watching the Dallas Cowboys or the Miami Heat. He also challenges anyone who dares to meet him at a spades table.
